Assessment & Reporting

Processes and Timelines

Years 7 – 10: Assessment in Years 7-10 at Auburn High School is designed to monitor student progress and provide feedback to support learning. Students are assessed through a variety of methods, including tests, projects, presentations, and practical activities. Reporting is done through Learning Behaviour Reports (LB Reports) and formal semester reports. Learning Behaviour Reports are completed at specific times during the term, providing ongoing feedback on student engagement, effort, and behaviour. Formal reports are issued at the end of each semester, summarising academic achievements and areas for improvement.

Years 11 and 12:For senior students, assessment includes School-Assessed Coursework (SACs) and School-Assessed Tasks (SATs), which contribute to their final VCE or IB scores. These assessments are designed to evaluate students’ understanding and application of course content. Reporting timelines include regular feedback through LB Reports and detailed semester reports. Additionally, students receive guidance on their progress towards meeting graduation requirements and achieving their post-secondary goals.
