Library

The library at Auburn High School offers an extensive collection of print and digital resources to support the learning and teaching needs of both students and staff. Our print collection encompasses a wide range of fiction and non-fiction titles, with specialized collections including French, IB, STEM, Senior Fiction, Graphic Novels, Sport, and Biography. These are thoughtfully organized on our vibrant new shelving to enhance accessibility and encourage exploration.

As a dynamic hub of activity, the library fosters a welcoming environment during lunchtimes. Students can often be found engaging in chess games, reading, or connecting with peers in this literary space. To further enrich the library experience, we feature curated displays celebrating special occasions, highlighting relevant titles, and promoting events such as Book Week and guest speaker sessions. Competitions and activities are also organized to encourage active participation and engagement with the library.

We value collaboration with our community and actively seek text recommendations from staff and students to continually enhance our collection. Our programming includes dedicated classes for new Year 7 students, introducing them to the library’s offerings, and tailored support for senior students to assist with their academic pursuits.

The library’s digital resources include Eplatform and WorldBook, providing access to eBooks, audiobooks, assignment support materials, and tools for proper citation. These resources, along with the library catalogue, are easily accessible through Compass under “Favourites” via the AHS Digital Library.
